The story:

Once upon a time in the land of baguettes, berets, and romance, a young Frenchman named Nico embarked on an exciting journey with his wife, Lety, who was seven months pregnant with their first child, Arthur. They decided to leave the comforts of their native France and explore the new world of opportunities waiting for them in the United States. As they stepped onto American soil, they dreamt of the perfect home where they would welcome little Arthur and build a life filled with love and happiness.

Eager to find their dream home, Nico and Lety discovered the beauty of technology through websites like Zillow and Realtor.com than nothing comparable in their Native country. They were amazed by the convenience of browsing through endless listings from the comfort of their temporary apartment.

Little did they know, their home-buying journey was about to take a dark and frustrating turn.

As Nico and Lety dove deeper into their search, they faced the daunting task of contacting six different agents just to visit six apartments in the same condo complex. Scheduling visits became a logistical nightmare, and they found themselves dealing with agents who were clueless about the properties they were showing, not available or worse, trying to bait-and-switch them into something entirely different.

It became apparent that the real estate process - one of the most important assets in one's life - was outrageously expensive and unnecessarily frustrating. Nico couldn't help but wonder, "Why hasn't technology made this experience better? Who knows better than us what we want and how we want to live? We could be our own best real estate agents!"

After finally purchasing their first home, which according to the agent was "already under contract" but in reality was fully available from the seller, Nico was struck by a moment of inspiration. He envisioned a world where the 92% of buyers like him, who found their properties online, wouldn't have to pay the exorbitant 6% closing price to third-party agents.

Nico realized that, even though the honest sellers were the ones choosing the commission rates, at the end of the day, it was the buyer's money that went into paying the agents. This not only meant that the buyers were losing money, but also that the kind-hearted sellers were left out-of-pocket.

With this newfound perspective, Nico believed that an alternative need to exist: a better way for home-buyers and sellers to navigate the real estate market, ultimately revolutionizing the industry and saving money for both parties involved. If the seller and the buyer provided a significant portion of the work, they should reap the benefits.

And so, armed with determination and a vision for a better future, Nico, Sam and Cyril created Beycome.com - a state-of-the-art platform designed to streamline the home-selling and buying process and put control back into the hands of us: the people.
